Hello, my name is Kevin McLaughlin, and I am a Graphic Designer and Art Director based in the Philadelphia area.
My career began in my hometown of Philadelphia, where I attended Tyler School of Art at Temple University. After graduation, I designed for SK Designworks, a boutique studio where I had great experiences working on projects from initial concepts all the way through the print process. After several years, I moved to Chicago to work for Levy Restaurants, a large restaurateur company, designing branding, menus, and environmental design for restaurants and sports venues around the country. Afterward, I moved into the agency world working as an Art Director for Walton Isaacson, a marketing and brand-building agency. While there, I designed for national and locally based clients.
I moved back to the Philadelphia area from Chicago a few years ago and was working for Drexel University as a Senior Print Designer. Before that, I was the Lead Designer at Zing How Design, working on various projects mostly focused on influencer kit designs—working directly with clients such as Cover Girl, Pepperidge Farm, Mattel, and many others. My main focus was working with industrial designers to create the box designs and all the graphics for the boxes then seeing them through the print process.
All of my experiences have allowed me to design logos, brochures, annual reports, advertisements, invitations, packaging, environmental graphics, web design, and books. I love the variety and new challenges in design. Working in different styles and testing myself to produce the best possible design is the most rewarding part of the graphic design field.
